Seonghwa is the eldest member of ATEEZ, and is a versatile vocalist and rapper.
The members often refer to him as an extremely empathetic and patient person, and have stated that he is the one they go to when they need support. This off-stage personality combined with his intense on-stage performances are the basis for his much-discussed incredible duality.
His emoji is a bunny 🐰 or a star ⭐. His Aniteez is a bunny named DDEONGbyeoli.

Seonghwa is an amazing performer and shines in a lot of their works, especially in their live performances, so this list was definitely difficult to narrow down! But here are some favourites: WONDERLAND (Symphony No.9 “From the Wonderland”), Cyberpunk, and Utopia. They’ve also been added to our growing Spotify playlist.
In 2021 during COVID, ATEEZ competed on a TV show called Kingdom Legendary War. The show featured six boy groups competing through five rounds of live performances. We were blessed with some amazing and memorable stages from all the groups, and this was one of them. [If you ever have the chance to watch the full show I highly recommend it!]
For this performance (Apr 2021) they took their previous song WONDERLAND (Oct 2019) ****and mashed it up with Antonín Dvořák’s New World Symphony. And then, of course, they set it to their epic pirate theme. [Mingi was on a medical hiatus during Kingdom, which is why there are only seven of them in this].
Seonghwa and his majestic corset are featured at 1:10, 1:22, 2:23 (with Yeosang), 3:00, and 4:11.

가자 (gaja) repeated in the prechorus at 1:41 and 2:52 means “Let’s go”.
어서 가자 (eoseo gaja) is repeated at the end of the chorus at 2:00, 3:11, 3:58 and 4:12. 어서 (eoseo) means hurry, so 어서 가자 is adding some urgency emphasis to mean “Hurry let’s go!”.

This track was released on the album The World EP.1: Movement in July 2022. It’s a song about feeling lost and numb in a world filled only with empty technology and bright neon lights. It plays into their dystopian lore about wanting to connect to their feelings to break through the darkness and lies of the world.
It never got a MV [I weep], so this was a long-awaited live performance of a fan-favourite song from that album.
Seonghwa is the blonde in this and sings at 0:38, 1:05, 1:58, 2:23, 3:15 and 3:43.

This is an upbeat song from Treasure EP.3: One to All (June 2019), which talks about the ideal world that ATEEZ is venturing for.
Fun fact: the ending of Utopia went viral on Tiktok in 2021-2022, in which it was paired with the beginning of SHINee’s song Ring Ding Dong, “Babyyyy”. You can see the original TikTok here, plus an example of the meme 😂
This song beautifully showcases Seonghwa’s falsetto in the chorus, a part for which he practiced a lot and actually worked up the courage to ask the producers if he could have. In the performance below his lines are at 0:30, 1:28, 1:36, 3:25, and 3:33. [Notice also the “Every day every night here we go go go / every day every night let us go go go” fan chant during the chorus! 🎉]
